If the belt from NAPA was just a regular black automotive belt and not a coated belt, then I'd give these a try. If it was a kevlar coated belt, then I would go with Gates.

It looks like the Gates belts are the best on the market, going only by the price. I haven't tried them. They are quite confident in their products and won't say what they're made of. But if it keeps you from constantly changing belts, it's well worth it in my opinion. I buy all my belts for my mower, snow blower, and tiller from Maple Grove Distributing. I drive by it every day. The website isn't the best, but I have no complaints about the quality so far. This is my fourth year on mower belts with little to no signs of wear. I called them; they don't sell the Gates belts but they do sell an "A & I brand" blue kevlar coated belt. Heavy-duty kevlar belt is what I think you're after. I am pretty sure you can find some closer to you.
