Several years ago, I moved to a new home &#; downsizing. One of the items I kept was a bookshelf that had been my mother&#;s. It was designed as a combination of shelves and a holder for a large book &#; she had a dictionary on it. It had been in a library room we had with many Irish pictures. In my smaller home I only have a corner of a room as my library &#;but I wanted to keep the pictures of my Irish ancestors front and center.
The problem was that the glass insert in the top never made it to my new home. The people doing the packing must have thrown it away or something. But if I was going to display things, I had to put something in there to have a solid surface. For 3 years I&#;ve been using an old picture that sort of fit but didn&#;t go into the slot there. I really needed something different so I could use the full surface. So I decided to go on the hunt for a small grass piece that would go inside. It had to be not too thick, and fit specific dimensions and I didn&#;t want to spend a lot of money.
