Dismantling Joint Overview

Dismantling joints simplify the installation and replacement of flanged fittings in retrofitting applications. They provide an effective solution for adding, repairing, or replacing flanged fittings within a flanged pipe system. These joints feature adjustable, slip joint designs that accommodate wide gaps or close-quarter installations, eliminating the need for precise measurements between flange connections. Available in sizes 2" and larger, they are suitable for ductile iron or flanged PE piping systems.

Bellows Type Dismantling Joints

The Flexpert Bellow type dismantling joints are engineered to facilitate the mounting and dismantling of valves from pipelines. These double flanged fittings can accommodate up to 100mm (4”) of longitudinal adjustment, with tie bars provided to lock at the desired length. Additionally, the bellow dismantling joints offer compression capabilities, which facilitate both installation and dismantling procedures. The bellows compensate for axial movements of the pipe, making them an essential component in flexible pipeline systems.

The standard longitudinal adjustability of ±25mm makes these bellows-type dismantling joints perfect for both standard and non-standard applications. They provide excellent support during the installation and removal of valves by compressing the expansion joint at critical moments. To absorb pressure thrust forces caused by internal pipeline pressure, restrain screws are supplied for highly rigid flanged equipment.
